Reading Log
Weekly students are provided with a Roger Clap Reading Log. Reading daily can include listening to a story, reading with a sibling or grown up, or reading independently. Students can be given books from school to read at home or they can read with materials in their home. Students can read books but we also encourage other materials including: reading magazines, newspapers, information on cereal boxes or instructions to a game, ingredients and steps to a recipe, and more. There are many ways to strengthen their reading skills! The student, family and staff have a role in supporting the growth of each child as a reader. You can read more about the Home-School Reading Log & Expectations here.
