Back to School Updates: 

  • Click here for the most up to date School Reopening Plan

  • The first day of school for all students will be September 21, 2020

  • New Boston Public Schools families are invited to a Welcome Orientation. Register for August 25 or 27, 6-8pm. Register here

  • Learn about district highlights, family engagement, and best practices to prepare students for COVID-19 safety. Interpretation is available. View the flyer here

  • EL Welcome Back to School Parent Info Session -- August 25-28. Parents will learn about educational rights as English Learner parents/guardians and information on learning experiences for the upcoming school year. Register here

  • Join a Remote Learning Session for Families. The learning session will help you support your student with the various online platforms they will be using this school year, including Zoom, Google Classroom, Clever, and SeeSaw (SeeSaw is for elementary students only). Register here

  • Family Coffee Hours: Join the BPS Behavioral Health Services team for online weekly family coffee hours to discuss a variety of parenting topics. Next meeting is Thursday, August 27. Learn more here. Register here

Boston Saves
Boston Saves -- All K2 and 1st-grade students get $50 for college or career training in an account from Boston Saves. K2 families: Sign up for Family Updates and we will reach out to you once your account is available. Rising 1st grade families: Log into the Savings Center to see the money in your child’s account and start earning even more.

Boston Summer Eats

BPS continues to provide free breakfast and lunch to all Boston children. A variety of packaged meal options are available for pick-up.

 

Additionally, the City of Boston in partnership with community organizations also provide free meals to Boston families at various locations and times across the city. Learn more here.
