BPS School Closure: March 17 through the remainder of the school year
In order for us to serve the needs of all our students, it is important that we have an accurate picture of which work students are completing from their online learning assignments and how frequently students are getting their work done.
Parents, please make sure your child completes this brief survey upon completion of their daily assignment work time.
Students, please remember to complete this survey once you are finished with your assignments for the day.
Dear Roger Clap K-5 Families,
As you all know, the Boston Public Schools will be closed from Tuesday, March 17th through the remainder of the school year. As the COVID-19 epidemic continues to unfold, in an effort to support our families to the very best of our abilities the Roger Clap staff have put together this website to centralize instructional assignments, food resources, COVID-19 resources and more. Our goal is to provide all students with quality instruction and grade-level challenging tasks from home so they are prepared for the upcoming grade level regardless of when schools reopen, so to achieve this goal, a Clap community member will be reaching out to your family (call, message, etc) to offer additional academic supports and inquire about any barriers that may be preventing your child from accessing and completing school work assignments, consistently. This site along with Classroom DOJO will be our main forms of school-wide communication so please check back regularly for updates.
We fully recognize families are rearranging their households, setting up childcare, and so much more to accommodate and navigate these next several weeks. We encourage families to reach out with any questions and concerns.
We are here for you! We are in this together! We are the Roger Clap Wolves and we CAN do this!

Home Internet - We have asked the Internet companies to step up to the plate and they are delivering! Here's what we have so far;
Comcast - All BPS families who are in need of home Internet can get two months of FREE Comcast high speed Internet. No cost to the family. Details here
Cell Phones - All major carriers (including BPS phones) will have unlimited high speed data for the next two months as part of the "Keep America Connected" pledge.
Computers - If your child needs a computer to access online learning, please visit www.bostonpublicschools.org/laptop
Even more important, most cell phone and home internet companies have pledged NOT to disconnect service for unpaid bills for the next two months. This means that our students will not lose their Internet if their family is unable to pay the bill during this time.
