Community Partnerships

At the Roger Clap Elementary, we work with a variety of community partnerships within Boston to offer our students and their families opportunities to support them. These partnerships provide students with the foundation to be successful in and out of the classroom. Many of these opportunities support the rigorous curriculum followed within the classroom.

These partnerships include: ​

• WinningEvery Student (Before & After-School Care):

Winning Every Student is a Non-Profit organization which offers tutoring, mentoring and intervention for students so that they may Win in every area of their life.

• The Home for Little Wanderers (Counseling & Mental Health Support):

The Home for Little Wanderers helps build stable lives and hopeful futures for children who are abused, neglected or at-risk.​

• Girl Scouts http://gsema.org/:

 All girls have dreams. But Girl Scouts have the tools and support to make theirs come true.

• Playworks (Recess Programming):

Playworks helps schools and districts make the most of recess through on-site staffing, consultative support, professional development, free resources, and more. We also support youth programs and other organizations that wish to improve playtime. Organizations like The Centers for Disease Control, and City Year all look to Playworks to inform practice and policy.

• Boston Music Project (General Music K-3 Grade & Instrumental Music for 4-6 grade):

Boston Music Project (BMP) is a creative youth development program committed to ensuring the long-term social and musical success of urban youth by nurturing individual expression, celebrating unique cultures, and developing life skills through quality education and performance. 

• Strong Women, Strong Girls: To empower girls to imagine a broader future through a curriculum grounded on female role models delivered by college women mentors, who are themselves mentored by professional women.

• Boston Saves: All K2 and 1st-grade students get $50 for college or career training in an account from Boston Saves. K2 families: Sign up for Family Updates and we will reach out to you once your account is available. Rising 1st grade families: Log into the Savings Center​ to see the money in your child’s account and start earning even more.                                                                           

• St.Stephen's Youth Program Parent Mentoring:

Families work with students in classrooms, develop their own leadership, and become aware of conditions in the school. Families and teachers build mutual trust. Families participate in trainings and workshops, set personal goals such as finding a job or earning their high school diploma, receive coaching to meet these goals, and are paid for their time.
